For IKEA furniture assembly, send the article name or number and the instruction booklet page, or a photo of the boxes. A single item can be quoted from that; a full apartment after a move, or several office desks, is planned as one visit from your item list. For offices, share the building name, floor, loading or service-lift arrangements and any working-hour rules so access is confirmed before the visit. Flat-pack assembly is covered here; built-in or custom joinery is quoted separately after measurement.

For an office fit-out or a new team, the work is usually repeated units rather than one item: desks, multi-person workstations, task chairs, pedestals, filing cabinets and storage. We build these in a planned sequence so desks are levelled, legs and frames are tight, and drawers and doors line up. Send the item list, the quantity of each and the floor layout if you have one, so the visit can be sized before quoting.

Height-adjustable desk frames and workstations with screens or cable trays take longer than a standard desk, and any electrical connection for a powered frame is separate from the assembly itself. Chairs are assembled and checked for stability and gas-lift operation. Tall storage units and shelving can be fixed to the wall or the workstation structure where the wall type and building rules allow it.

For an office move, dismantling and reassembling can be handled as a single job. We take items apart, bag and label the hardware for each piece, and rebuild them at the new location in the layout you give us. Photos of the current setup before dismantling help the reassembly match. Building access, loading bay or service-lift booking and working-hour rules should be confirmed with building management before the day, and the visit is scheduled within our attending hours of Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 8:00pm.

The usual jobs are flat-pack beds and storage beds, wardrobes of different sizes, chests of drawers, TV units, desks and shelving, plus cots and children’s furniture. Cots and baby furniture are assembled strictly to the manufacturer’s instructions with every fastener fitted, and a mattress that fits the frame correctly is the owner’s responsibility to check. Tall wardrobes, bookcases and chests of drawers can tip, especially if drawers are pulled open or children climb on them. Anchoring the top of the piece to the wall is a simple precaution. The fixing depends on the wall: concrete and block walls take a plug and screw, while gypsum board needs a suitable cavity anchor or a stud fixing and is not right for every heavy load, so we assess the wall first.

In a rented apartment, check whether drilling is allowed before we fit anchors. If drilling is not permitted, tell us when you book and we will discuss what is possible, such as placing the heaviest items low and keeping the piece against the wall, rather than drilling anyway.
